2011- An Acceptable Time Year.

Habakkuk 2:2, 3- Has the Father given you a word or a vision that has yet to come to pass in your life? Do you feel like it has been forever since the Father spoke a promise to you? I just want to encourage you that when the Father speaks a promise, He immediately fashions an acceptable time for the promised word to be fulfilled. As the Father is working on our behalf we must continue in praise (the language of faith) and thanksgiving (the action of faith), then we will see 2011 be an “Acceptable Time” year. Let’s consider the encouragement of Isaiah 43:18,19 as a foundation of our study.
“Behold, I will do a new thing”- Remember the classic anthem of faith by Dottie Rambo, “We Shall Behold Him”? Let’s define “behold” as- “having a tangible sensory experience”. Individually and as a church we have been pressing in and desiring to see the Father do a new thing in our lives and church. We are on the cusp of the acceptable time Habakkuk prophesied, so many of us have waited and even questioned if the Father is ever going to do what He promised. I want to encourage you to finish 2010 celebrating victoriously crossing the finish line. Don’t grow weary, give up or even reject your destiny but let 2011 be the year of the new thing the Father has for you and your part in our local church.
“Now it shall spring forth”- 2011 is a set time year of spiritual seismic activity, a year of upheavals. We all have walls and gates that are keeping us as prisoners and not being able to receive the Father’s goodness. Far too long we have been held captive by the enemy, but I encourage you to remember the Father fashioned a seismic event and freed Paul and Silas from prison (Acts 16:26) and He will cause a upheaval in your life to spring you forth and into the new thing He has for you. Another aspect of the upheavals is that a tsunami of the Father’s glory will flood a standard of righteousness in our lives and church. “Father, we thank You that 2011 is a acceptable time year, we thank You that You are the God of the now, thank You that in 2011 Your miraculous works will spring forth.”
“Shall you not know it”- “Know” like “behold” can have the definition- “to have a tangible sensory experience. i.e. when a husband knows his wife”. This is the Father’s desire that we would have this experience with Him that is much more than goose-bumps (God-bumps, as I have heard them called). That Father gives us the choice as to whether we know the new thing or not. Two things that can keep us from knowing the new thing are fear and jealousy. Fear and jealousy cause us to hang onto the old or past moves. As we stand here on the edge of 2011 let us be a people that will declare this is the acceptable time of the Father’s favor and we embrace the new thing the Father has for us as we enjoy the tangible sensory experience of the Father’s presence. May you have a tangible sensory experience with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in 2011!
